The first step that we suggest to all families is to find out and assess whether Waldorf pedagogy, based on Rudolf Steiner's Anthroposophy, is an option aligned with their family values, way of understanding the world and the desire to be part of the change. Entering to be part of Umai means wanting to be and be present in the community; be an example for your sons and daughters who at the same time will form a very strong bond, like a family, with their classmates and with the rest of the other age groups.
If you are clear that you are looking for a different education, your philosophy and lifestyle align with Waldorf pedagogy, then we invite you directly to apply for admission to our community.
Admission link to kindergarten (nursery and preschool).
We admit boys and girls with diapers, as long as they walk.
Elementary admission link (only open for 1st, 2nd and 3rd).
Admission link for homeschoolers (only open to boys and girls between 7 and 10 years old)
If you have doubts, and you want to have a meeting with us, go ahead. We will be happy to schedule an appointment. We also suggest you attend the information sessions, both virtual and face-to-face, that we offer throughout the year. All our virtual information sessions are recorded and available on our facebook.
Once the application for admission is released, The family is informed of its acceptance and the necessary formats and documentation are sent to formalize the entry and make the payment of fees. It is important to review our payment and cancellation policy.
The documentation to be delivered is:
Copy of your birth certificate
Copy of CURP
2 children's color photographs
Medical Certificate / Vaccination Record
Letter of good conduct from your current school (if applicable)
Letter of no debts from your current school (if applicable)
Copy of voter identification card of both parents

Authorization letter for outings and excursions
Medical expense insurance cancellation letter if you have one (sending that scanned document)
Letter of transfer of image rights
Covid response letter

Remember that, in case you come on the recommendation of one of those who are already part of Umai, please let us know, because we have a discount for recommendation to grow the community, and these families will have a discount for a few months.
