Open enrollment 2022-2023 school year
The information on times and dates for the 2022-2023 cycle is still tentative (updated on January 14, 2022). More details about the start of classes from June. The information will be updated on this website.
The school year will tentatively start on Monday, August 22, 2022 until Friday, June 23, 2023.
The schedule for nursery is from 8:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. , while preschool and primary will be from 8:30 a.m. to 2 pm Families with brothers or sisters in nursery and primary or preschool, can have the same arrival and departure times.
Every year we survey families about the need for a stay service, so we cannot guarantee that it will be offered if there is not enough demand in the group. Families that need earlier check-in or later check-out, please contact us to let us know and find a joint solution. It is important to adjust to the entry and exit times to respect the rhythms and schedule of daily activities, and especially of the infant.
If there are repeated delays in arrival or departure, the family will be called to find a solution together.
Infants in nursery and preschool receive a vegetarian meal each day , and depending on their age, they are involved in the preparation of the food.
TUITION AND TYPE OF PAYMENT
Tuition fees are complete for 10 months (September to June), with payments being made in the first 5 days of the month.
The payment of 50% of the materials fee and enrollment re-registration must be made no later than June 1 and the rest before July 31. In case of not making any payment for current students before these dates, it will be taken as group withdrawal.
The cost of school accident insurance is of $1,100 MXN and must be paid no later than the first day of classes in August. If you have insurance for medical expenses or accidents, we ask you, please, let us know so as not to make this payment.

There is no school uniform or books.
Especially excursions and outings that involve bus rental, spaces, tickets, etc. Each family will be asked to cover the cost of their children, as well as permits to attend, etc. At parties and events, families will be invited to join as part of the organization of some events, which are specifically open to the community.
The table of fathers and mothers of family is managed directly by the fathers and mothers to help improve the facilities of our community, promote and participate in specific projects that are of interest to the community. Parents should organize themselves on how to manage this fund, which is suggested to be at least $1,500 pesos per year per family.
Promotions and discounts offered at different times of the year are not cumulative and may vary throughout the year. The prices shown in are official for this cycle 202-2023.
HOMESCHOOLERS
This cycle we have decided to offer artistic classes for students who take education at home or some other type of alternative program.

DISCOUNT FOR FAMILIES
In the new school year, we increased the support we provide to families with more than one child.
Second sibling applies 20% discount on tuition, and 40% from the third sibling.
RECOMMENDATION DISCOUNT
Families currently enrolled in Umai who refer other families to us will be able to obtain a 20% discount on the monthly tuition from the moment the referred family enrolls and makes their payments. This discount will apply for 2 consecutive months.
It is also a cumulative discount so the more families you recommend and enter Umai, the more benefits you will get from your tuition.
It also applies to homeschooling families who recommend Umai.
Please contact us if you have a friend or acquaintance who has already contacted us to start their admission process to see when this discount would apply.
SURCHARGE POLICY
The proper functioning of the Umai Waldorf community depends on the commitment and responsibility of each member. The delay of your payment impacts management and operation, triggering a series of effects that we want to avoid as much as possible.
That is why we ask all families to make payments within the first 5 days of the respective month. From the 6th, a 10% surcharge will be applied and after the 15th, a 15% surcharge on the monthly tuition. This may vary depending on the agreed payment day, as many families may require other payment schedule schemes. If this is your case, a priori, in order not to generate confusion, please contact us to agree on the payment dates if they cannot be made in the first 5 days.
HIGH LOW
In case you want to withdraw your child, keep in mind that the tuition will be paid in full for that month, regardless of the day of withdrawal. We appreciate that you inform us as soon as you know this decision, so that we can offer that space since we have a waiting list.
ADJUSTMENT IN RATES
Umai reserves the right to increase the prices of its tuition fees during the academic year, with a notice period of 2 months in advance. Costs or fees for each school year will be determined no later than the end of July.
